Time to Make!
Submitted to Let's Talk 3D
One of the things that struck me as a very easy project is a clock. You can find clock parts online for very cheap and all you need is a thin piece of wood (1/16) to cut on the LC40. I thought it would be cool to cut out the Death Star and make a clock out of it. I found a design I liked, plugged it into Adobe Illustrator and tinkered with it until I had an SVG that would be perfect to cut.
I decided to take it a step further and add a red LED to it. A simple watch battery, copper tape, and a red LED later I have a cool light on my clock. Just about any design can be turned into a clock. Just find the center of the image and install the hardware.
It is a fun and quick project for students to explore using the LC40.
I hope everyone has a great 2021!
