Dragon Age Inquisition
Describe your how you went about making your project. How did you use your Dremel accessory to complete the job? How did you feel once completing the project?
I started out by getting some EVA floor foam mats, I used my Dremel scroll saw to cut out the pieces and then use contact cement to glue them together. The Dremel rotary tool was the work horse for this whole build, I used the sanding drum to shape down and make the edges, the seam lines, the side cheeks, the dragon, and the spikes on the top. Then I used the round stone bit to smooth out the cheeks after the sanding drum left a rough texture. With a cutting disk bit, I scored the lines of detail for the dragon. For the small details of the dragon, I used the smallest metal engraving bit to shape the eyes and the nose. Doing this work was made possible by the flex shaft, if I didn’t have that accessory, I feel like my hand would have cramped up and wouldn’t have gotten the detail I wanted. This was one of my first projects creating something out of foam, so I’m really excited with how it turned out and it is from one of my favorite game series.

The extendable flex shaft was a godsend in this situation. I would not have done this project without it and it saved my hand from cramping up all the time.
