so right now I have the subfloor completed and I am starting to frame.

a little insight on the build,

we werent able to get much money together for this build. so I’m gathering my resources to recycle everything I can to finish each step.

During the subfloor process I did have to do some modification welding to the trailer before I could line, insulate & put the wood down

It was a bit of work and took about a week but I ended up getting 8 metal bed frames from a habitat for humanity store at 5$ each

I cut them up and got about 300 ft of angle iron

We saved about $400 everything said and done

my labor was worth it since I’m building our home

It needed to be done and everything worked out pretty smoothly

I used some thin sheet metal that’s 2ft wideTo line the bottom of the trailer. since the metal was so flimsy

I had to use some wood slats to keep everything taught and held together.

i was able to recycled the wood from a fence I took apart

once I got that part done I was able to lay the insulation and cover everything with plastic, then I was able to put the wood down

I didn’t realize that some of the steel I used on the trailer was harder than others so when I was screwing the wood down a few of the screws would snap halfway through.

they were able to grab and hold but I had to cut a few of the tops off using my Dremel with the new max life cut off wheel because my grinder couldn’t cut flush to the wood

framing is now going good

I have a friend coming over today thats going to help me finish a couple wall panels.

then this weekend we plan to put the walls up !!!
